in response to cholliet: This was my first Norah Jones concert. I love jazz and my wife is a big Norah fan, so I popped the 175 clams for two tickets (ouch!). We love the Orpeum theater, so we were really excited when we arrived a little before 8 PM, Saturday evening. And that, my friends, is where the excitement ended. On paper, Norah Jones' show should have been a really great concert. Beautiful voice, great band, fantastic venue. Something about it though, I can't quite put my finger on. The whole thing made me yawn. I would say the show had the energy of a snail, but I do not want to disparage snails in such a manner. I kind of felt bad for Norah, trying to relate to the crowd. The disconnect was palpable. Norah Jones is completely unable to elicit pathos from an audience.

Wow. After reading your thoughts about the concert, I'm kinda glad I didn't go! (Waited too late to buy a ticket. I didn't expect the concert to sell out.) Maybe Nora is one of those performers who doesn't come across nearly as well on stage in front of a live audience, in which case I'm glad I missed the show.
A locally-owned restaurant with good food, served by good people at a decent price. What more could you ask for?...It's definitely worth visiting.
