Good, inexpensive Chinese food, with a wide variety of vegetarian options. You'll have to see the restaurant interior to believe it—so incredibly busy and tacky that you'll think you stepped into Fu Manchu's lair (it adds to the fun of the dining experience, though).
Napa Cafe would be my overall choice for best restaurant in Memphis. It has truly wonderful food, excellent professional service, great atmosphere in a cozy little location. Great for romantic fine dining, yet welcoming to the more casual customer as well.
Good affordable take-out Mediterranean food. There are tables, but I wouldn't advise dining in.
Gets my vote for tastiest food in Memphis. Great variety of Moroccan dishes, reasonably priced, in a convenient Cooper-Young location.
One of the best places to eat in Memphis. Great Caribbean food and service in a very interesting space, with a lively crowd on the weekends.
Best overall Thai food I've found in Memphis (try the Tum Yum soup!) with great decor and atmosphere. A very good place for a romantic dinner or celebrating with friends. Dining on the patio is particularly nice in good weather.
Excellent and unusual food, reasonable prices, interesting set up (the beds are certainly unique!), and a fun crowd on the weekends.
The freshest, tastiest, and most unusual sushi I've had in Memphis, coupled with a great funky Bohemian atmosphere. Prices reflect the quality of the food, but are well worth it. Service seems overwhelmed by the crowd at times, but I can heartily recommend dining here.
Probably the best value for sushi in the city. The quality is as good as the Sekisui restaurants, and prices tend to be a bit lower. As for food from the grill, I like the standard selection of vegetables (zuchinni, mushrooms, onions) better than that offered at other hibachi/teppanyaki restaurants, and the teriyaki beef is great.
A great place to go have sushi. The food is fresh, the house specials are interesting, and the servers welcoming.
It was nice enough when I tried it out. Nothing particularly special—I'd rather eat at one of the better Japanese restaurants if given a choice, but if you're in southeast Memphis and have a craving for hibachi, it's worth checking out.
