As new Memphians we took our parents here on a recent visit. They are lobster fans so we picked Bittersweet based on a Commercial Appeal blurb mentioning lobster pie. We tried the baked brie to start, but it was not baked long enough and was cold in the center. Mom and Dad were underwhelmed by the lobster bisque (too sweet) and the lobster cakes (lots of filler. The crab cakes were so so and Dad said the salmon was just OK. My husband's lobster pie was great from the tastes I kept stealing. The server was affable and efficient. Overall, just OK - especially for the menu prices.
We are new to Memphis and stopped here during a visit from our parents. When we sat down I was abashed that I had suggested Slim's based on a review because our parents were paying and I did not realize the price point. Even so, everyone was happy with the food and service. We went somewhat early on a Tuesday and it was relatively quiet. The server was efficient and accommodated our special requests.
