For my fellow Memphians who have never attended a student concert--the U of M Music Department is fabulous and does not always get the credit it deserves for the talent it fosters. Normally, all of the U of M student groups like Sound Fuzion and the University Singers, etc., have separate performance concerts but tonite is special--we get to hear them all in one place. Tiger fans--forget about football for the moment--support the U of M Music Department!

Sunday brunch is usually wonderful. My family went there for Thanksgiving and the food was just absolutely terrible. And the bill was so out of the ballpark for what they quoted me per person on the phone--it was insulting given how awful the food was. We won't be going back for awhile
It was a wonderful concert! The Memphis Symphony was great. Guest conductor Steven Reineke was great--he has been invited to be Conductor at the New York Pops Symphony we were told. Terry Mike Jeffrey has a beautiful voice and did Elvis songs justice. The Imperials sounded great as well! It a great evening. Thanks, Memphis Symphony, for pulling it off! And was my birthday to boot!
