This was a fantastic party, and thank yous are due to Barbara Williamson, Chantal Johnson, and Susan Warner who put it on. But more important is the fact that this spectacular definitive exhibit has only two venues: The Petit Palais in Paris and the Dixon Gallery in Memphis! The responsibility for this is shared by Kevin Sharp, The Director of the Dixon, and Florence Valdes-Forain, the Curator of the exhibit, and great grandaughter of the artist. Every Memphian has a right to be proud of this exceptional cultural event and of our city and its citizens for pulling it off. Everyone needs to come to see this superb exhibition.

Saturday night's gala was, indeed, a grand event executed to perfection. More importantly, the Forain exhibition is a major coup by a relatively small art museum, the Dixon Gallery, and should not be missed--see it now! Many thanks to Kevin Sharp and the many other Memphians who made it possible.
